Range Rover Evoque’s advanced lighting technology achieves outstanding performance as well as providing some of the vehicle’s most striking signature design elements. The innovative LED lighting systems* are used to create the unique graphics of the front daytime running lights and complex 3D ‘petal’ design in the rear lamps. Night-time driving is also enhanced with the optional availability of adaptive Xenon headlamps. These optional headlamps have an adaptive feature to provide added illumination and can be upgraded with Automatic High Beam Assist which detects light from oncoming traffic and switches automatically between high and dipped beams as appropriate.

Si4 turbo petrol engine
The Si4 petrol engine is a 2.0 litre engine in a lightweight all-aluminium unit with the latest direct-injection technology, advanced turbocharging and twin independent variable valve timing to help lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20 percent compared with traditional larger capacity engines delivering equivalent performances. The engine is fitted with a 6-speed automatic transmission that has been engineered to improve fuel economy and that features Drive Select, an advanced rotary gearshift with steering wheel mounted paddle controls. It also delivers a rich, powerful engine sound ring strong acceleration and features a unique exhaust manifold for quicker warm-up and lower emissions, a low friction design and a state-of-the-art electronic management system. This includes Smart Regenerative Charging, which prioritises the charging of the battery when the vehicle is decelerating to capture wasted kinetic energy and reduce fuel consumption.
TD4 and SD4 turbo diesel engines
The latest 2.2 litre turbo diesel, available in two forms TD4 (150hp) and SD4 (190go), delivers superb torque, responsive performance and impressive refinement. The engines provide power on demand and a very broad torque curve. SD4 engines can be specified with either 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions. TD4 is available with 6-speed manual transmission only. Diesel vehicles with the manual transmission feature an intelligent Stop/Start system to reduce the fuel consumption of these engines by a further 8 percent.
eD4 turbo diesel engine
The 2.2 litre turbo diesel is also available as an eD4 (150hp) 2WD version which shares similar characteristics with the other diesel engines yet delivers CO2 emissions of 129 g/km on Range Rover Evoque Coupe and 133g/km on Range Rover Evoque. eD4 diesel 2WD is available with 6-speed manual transmission only.
All diesel engines also feature Smart Regenerative Charging, which charges the battery when it is most economical to do so. |

With its lightweight and more compact footprint, the Range Rover Evoque offers the enthusiast driver quicker responses and greater agility. Standard on Dynamic models and available as an option on Prestige SD4 models, Adaptive Dynamics with advanced MagneRideTM monitors vehicle movements at least 1,000 times per second, reacting to driver or road inputs instantaneously to give greater control and minimise body roll, providing a balanced, flat ride. The system will even sense off-road conditions, and optimise damping accordingly.
Range Rover Evoque features the latest in power assisted steering technology. EPAS (Electric Power Assisted Steering) delivers accurate, consistent steering and agile cornering. Power assistance is speed-sensitive for lightness and responsiveness at low speeds and increased firmness at higher speeds. When compared with a conventional power steering system, EPAS is more energy efficient and can reduce fuel consumption as well as CO2 emissions by up to 3 percent.
Like every Range Rover vehicle, Range Rover Evoque optimises performance, capability and safety in all on and off-road conditions. It does this by employing a suite of innovative technologies including Terrain Response®,* which adapts Range Rover Evoque's engine, transmission and electronic systems to maximise driveability, comfort and traction.
There are four Terrain Response® settings: General Driving, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud & Ruts and Sand. A fifth Dynamic setting is added when Adaptive Dynamics is specified.
* not available with 2WD.
Other cutting-edge technologies include the Land Rover patented Hill Descent Control (HDC)**, Gradient Release Control (GRC) and Hill Hold as well as Dynamic Stability
Control (DSC), Electronic Traction Control (ETC) and Roll Stability Control.
**Not available on eD4 derivatives |
